Ford has decided to market the new Ford car, the Focus ST,
in a film adaption of The Sweeney that is to be released in September next
year. This is perfect timing for the
launch of the Focus ST in the summer of 2012.
The production crew have been given six black Focus STs that
will be driven by the likes of Ray Winston and Ben Drew! I can’t wait to see
them racing across the city of London chasing the bad guys!
Apparently the Ford Focus will not be the only new Ford car
in the film, there is to be Ford Mondeos, Galaxys and Transit vans all as
unmarked vehicles. It is the perfect
film for Ford to be featuring in as back in the 1970s when the original TV
series was played there were Ford Grandads, Consuls and Cortinas. Other films the Ford featured their new cars
in were Casino Royale in 2006 with the new Ford car, the Mondeo.
