Land Rover has given 30 vehicles to the organisers, which
consists of Range Rover Sports and Land Rover Discovery’s. These cars will be used in the tournament by
RWCL and RNZ 2011, the cars are branded with RWC 2011, which is also printed on
the number plates and badging.
Land Rover is a global brand, I’m sure the Rugby World Cup
2011 will be ecstatic that they are sponsoring them. Land Rover is also letting fans get involved
with RWCL2011 as primary sponsors of the Official RWC 2011 App. The App
will give up to date information on the tournament, it is estimated to attract
over a million downloads by fans.
The App will be free to download on iPhone, iPad,
Blackberry, Android and Windows phone 7, it will include live commentary and
score updates, video highlights, tournament news, fixtures, results, stadium
information and What’s on in New Zealand.
The vehicles will be up for sale to the
public when the tournament ends in November but if you would like a used RangeRover Sport I’ve been informed that Charles Hurst is the place to go, they even
have the Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Belfast.
